"Premastering"
is the conversion of your data files into the CD-ROM format. With
CD-Recordable drives being so common, most of our clients handle
this and send the final CD-R to us for mastering & replication.
However, if you don't have a CD-R drive, or if you need something
tricky (like a Windows/Macintosh hybrid CD containing native file
structures for each platform), we can handle it for you.
- $75/original
Windows or Mac disc ($150 for Mac/PC hybrid),
$5/extra disc
- Turnaround:
usually one business day (call for details)
- Add
$25 for overnighting the disc back to you for testing (or
supply us your FedEx / UPS account)
Please let us know the volume name you want for the disc and send
the files to us.

HOW MANY MB/DISC?
The standard size limit for a CD-ROM written in Mode 1 data (the
standard mode for computer
files) is 650MB (681,574,400 Million Bytes. (a MegaByte
defined as 1,024Kb, a KiloByte defined as 1,024 bytes) We
can fit up to 700MB on a disc, however, it violates the specifications
and we would need you to sign a waiver before we could replicate
the discs.
FILES
& DIRECTORIES
We recommend putting very few files in the root directory (top level)
and less than a hundred files in any one directory. If you have
lots of folders, it is helpful to include a `screen-shot’
of how you want your directory structure setup.
